Helen Joyce

Helen was the 5th member of Redgate, joining as an early member of the product development team and later becoming Head of People, leading the people and culture strategy for over 300 employees. She transformed how the HR team supported the business, introducing people partnering and leading through organisational change. Since leaving Redgate, Helen has worked in 3 other leadership teams as the most senior People Executive.

  • Hired the VP of Technology, Head of UX and leading on recruitment and people strategy at Audiens, a marketing tech start up, with 25 employees across UK and Italy and partnering with a data science team in South Korea.

  • As VP People & Talent, Helen supported the business to develop the management and leadership capabilities by leading a project sponsored by the chair in preparation of Series B funding for Speechmatics, a VC backed business with 100+ employees.

  • Helen carried out senior recruitment of CEO, Chief of Finance and Chief Strategy Officer, she was a board member and senior management team, implementing major people initiatives, including a reward and career progression overhaul and equality and diversity policies for a conservation NGO of 130 employees, UNEP-WCMC.

  • Helen was a founder member of the software product development business at Redgate, which during this time grew from 5 people to nearly 300 employees and a turnover of £31m. In time she moved across to the People Team, leading the HR team of 10 people, being a trusted advisor to the CEO and wider leadership team.
